These bites may not completely replace buffalo chicken wings but they’re a tasty hot snack that are perfect with a crudite platter. The flour in this recipe coats the cauliflower creating this crispy batter that almost feels like fried food! Serve with ranch, blue cheese, carrots and celery.
Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
Makes: 3 servings
Total Time: 30 min
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 head cauliflower, cut into florets
• 1/4 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
• 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat oven to 450°F. Combine flour, water, salt, and garlic powder in a large bowl and stir until smooth. Add cauliflower and stir gently until florets are evenly coated with batter.
Arrange cauliflower in a single layer on a silpat lined baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes on convection or until golden.
Combine hot sauce and melted butter and pour evenly over cauliflower. Toss gently until cauliflower is evenly coated. Bake for an additional 7 minutes on convention or until cauliflower begins to crisp.
